Q: When do classes begin?
A: The Legal Staff School accepts new students on an ongoing basis, so you can register anytime. Classes start every 12 weeks. Contact Us today to find out when the next class starts! Once you’ve completed the entire curriculum, you’ll be eligible to sit for the NALS (National Association of Legal Secretaries) exam and earn your Accredited Legal Professional (ALP) designation.
Q: When do classes take place?
A: Classes are held on Saturdays at our campus in East Cobb (Marietta, GA), and will last for 11 weeks.
Q: What is the cost of the program?
A: Our program is a flat fee of $4,525.00, which includes all tuition, books, testing fees and course materials. We offer flexible financing options and will work with you to come up with a payment plan that best suits your budget.
Q: Who are the instructors?
A: Your instructors are attorneys, legal staff and paralegals who have spent years working in the exciting, ever-changing legal field, so they’re best prepared to share what they’ve learned with our students. We strive to provide our students with an interactive, dynamic classroom environment. We encourage open discussion and provide plenty of opportunities for Q&A. We hope our students will develop a passion for the legal field and become lifelong learners!
Q: Is the program accredited?
A: We are Certified by the State of Georgia. Students who complete our program and pass the NALS Exam receive their Accredited Legal Professional (ALP) designation.
Q: Can you help me get a job?
A: Yes and no. While we certainly can’t guarantee a job for any of our students, we’ll work hard to make you a competitive candidate in today’s legal job market. We’ll provide you with instructors who work in the field and know what it takes to excel, as well as workshops in interview skills, legal writing and resume writing. And we will work with our connections to help in the job hunt process. We hear of opportunities often, and we’re always on the lookout for firms who are hiring aspiring legal professionals like you.
Q: What about professional development?
A. When you sit for the NALS Exam, we will automatically enroll you in the organization as a student member. We also encourage our students to become involved with local organizations for legal professionals to network, make friends and stay up to date on what’s happening in the field.
